International volunteers bring enthusiasm and fun to STA!

Things got a bit silly last Friday when the Prep and Standard 1 students had an afternoon of 'Silly Races'.

At STA we have ‘Student of the Month Awards’ at the end of each month to celebrate the successes of the students. Students can win the award for lots of reasons like following the school rules, helping other students, trying hard and doing their best.

At STA we love reading! We read every morning and so that we can practise the strategies we have learnt in class.

This month in art, our Standard 2, 3 and 4 students have been very busy making necklaces for Teacher Lauren’s trip to Australia.

On Sunday we had a big party to celebrate the opening of our new classroom. All 41 STA students attended and had a great time!

This week the prep/1 and pre-school students did some cooking and made fruit salad. It was delicious!

We have been learning all about farms in Prep (Kinder) and Grade 1. Last week we read a great book called 'Pig in the Pond'.

Most STA students have a sponsor and they love receiving letters from them!
