Student Leaders 2015
What is good leadership? What makes a good leader? These are the questions students at STA were asking themselves in the lead up to the first ever school captain elections last week.
The Calabash Kids
In 2014 the Steven Tito Academy (STA) students performed a play called ‘The Calabash Kids’. They put on a great show for their parents and guardians.
A Year in Prep at STA
Mwajuma started in Prep this year.
Prep is a vital year for our students. Before starting Grade 1, they have the prep year to learn English, the language they will use in all subjects throughout their schooling at STA and then at secondary school.
Reflecting and Looking Ahead
This week, our senior students reflected on their year at STA and thought about what next year might have in store for them.
Musical Maestros
From Taarab to Bongo Flava, Tanzania has a big range of music and the STA students love dancing and singing. In Term 3, our Prep and Standard 1 students enjoyed learning about classical music.
An STA Experience from an Aussie Kid
STA students were very excited to meet Jordan, a Grade 6 student from Yea Primary School in Australia, who visited us here in Tanzania recently. STA and Yea Primary School have previously worked together to raise money for books and calculators and all our skipping ropes were donated by the Australian school. Jordan has written a blog post about her visit.
Earth Day
STA students learn from their first day of school how important the environment is and what they can do to look after the world around them.
STA World Cup
While the world was watching the world cup in Brazil, the students here at STA had their eye on a different prize. Read about the STA World Cup action!
Aussie Animal Writing
Recently we had a visitor from Australia who led a writing session about Australian animals.
